Zinkubátor: István Fazekas-Szűcs
If you're unsure about the language or anything else regarding the event, please contact the event organizer for confirmation.
Zinkubator has moved from his third year to his third year of life from Wednesday to Tuesday, and occasionally with Zinkubátor Extras, which will go far beyond the usual workshops. And what is Zinkubátor? Zinkubátor started in January 2024 with a monthly zin-making and drawing jam session at the Grand Café café. If there is a jam session for musicians, why shouldn't they have jam sessions for artists as well? Each occupation has a different owner; the second Zinkubator of this year, February, is led by István Fazekas-Szűcs illustrator and comic book artist. The two-hour workshop is open and free for all interested parties, but prior email registration is strongly recommended.
Are you interested in Zinculture? Are you interested in visual arts or design? Drawing, painting, cutting, ripping, glue, photography, perhaps working with texts? Try yourself at an improvisational workshop where at the beginning of the session the session leader throws a currenic theme around which the creative process of the two-hour Zinkubator is built. The ultimate goal is to create the pages of a zin format product that we scan and print after the session, i.e. multiply.
István Fazekas-Szűcs is an amateur illustrator from Szeged. He graduated from the Department of Visual Art at the Eszterházy Károly College in 2011. His visuality is determined mostly by comic books that have been adored since the age of the child. Most of the time in this style he makes works related to his other "muse," football: book covers, blog image, short comics, bookazine illustrations. Currently he is a member of the comic team of X-embörök in Szeged.
The number of Zinkubátors in February is limited to 15 people; you can register for the workshop by e-mail at fazekasszucsistvan@gmail.com.
