In the talk "Stolen Childhood" Bea Bib贸k, psychologist, couples and sexual therapist, talks about what happens when a child gets an adult role too early and what invisible burdens we carry on as adults.
In psychology, this phenomenon is called parentification: when the child takes over the responsibility of the missing adult and holds the family together emotionally. On the outside, it appears to be a strong, independent, helpful child, but on the inside it often carries a painful shortage.
Bea Bib贸k's presentation helps us recognize these patterns, understand their operation, and start on the road that leads us back to ourselves.
