Should I go or should I stay? The answer often seems simple. Still, the decision is difficult.
There are situations where we know exactly what would be good for us, but we choose someone else. At times like this, we decide against ourselves.
Why?
Because deep inside of us, old patterns, damaged parts of us are starting to work. These schemes can determine how we react to a relationship dynamic, a hurtful life situation, or an unfair working environment.
It's like we're drifting from the middle of our lives to the edge like an addict. There we stand, silent, frightened, or angry as observers, all we want to do is be in our seats.
However, change is often scary.
That uncertain emotional existential space, the so-called transition space that's waiting for us, it's scary, it's big, and we're usually doing everything we can to get out of it the quickest.

Gelsei Bernadett is a decision mentor and specialist in addiction and love triangles. He deals with injuries and wounds behind relationships, and he helps us to understand why we choose situations over and over again that do not serve us.
