[ HUN ] The daltonists are a Polish experimental trio [genre: leftfield jam], whose name refers to color blindness, a congenital visual impairment. This error in human nature has become a fixed idea, main inspiration and motivation for musical creation. Musicians combine the colors of contemporary jazz, afrobeat, dub, African and club music. Despite their short existence (June 2022), the Daltonists created a sensation on the local scene and performed at several prestigious festivals in Poland, including Jazz Jantar, True Tone Festival and OFF Festival. The Crossroads Showcase Festival in Ostrava won the special award of the best orchestra selected by the music industry experts, resulting in invitations to other festivals in 2026/2027 (Sunfest and Ottawa Jazz Canada, Colours of Ostrava Czech Republic, Jazz Fest Brussels and others). The band's debut mini-albub, with the title of the ,daltonists, was released on 9 May 2024 and its YouTube version became viral, gaining a lot of positive comments around the world. Their song is often played by leading DJs at Polish and European radio stations (Soweto Kinch , BBC 3, Tom Ravenscroft , BBC 6/RinseFM, Marcin Harper , , Czwórka, Gosia Jakubowska , Trójka). Their second album, .gradient, was released by British Folded Music in November 2025. In the spring of 2025 a partly sold-out concert tour took place in Poland and Europe in order to promote the first album, and now they arrive to the Grand Café in the framework of another tour promoting the second album (2026 Spring/Summer - Europe + Canada).
