Are we gonna die or are we gonna survive?
How did we get to the point that this question could even come up today? Why do many people say that everything was better in the past"? But was it really better?
The social challenges and pitfalls of the 21st century were directly, critically, unmistakably, in a talk without taboos.
Where has self-destruction, immeasurableness, well-being, physical and psychological poisoning, social disintegration, evisceration and exploitation of the environment led us? And, above all, how can we get out of this vortex, individually and socially?
This evening confronts and provokes, but also offers handholds.
Judit Péterfi, a reporter, a host, and Dr. Gábor Zacher, a toxologist, one of the sharpest critics in society, are working together on what is happening to us, to us, to us and to us.
What does the performance confront you with and what can it give you?
-
Self-knowledge and responsibility: how to work on ourselves, how to step out of instant solutions offering false illusions and how to look in the mirror.
-
The state of mental health: anxiety, addictions, drug abuse, the psychic crisis of children and social stigmas, for which we dare not ask for help.
-
An era of excession: overeating, foaming, poisoning of the body, lack of movement, and faith systems and misconceptions that destroy and consume in the long term.
-
Education and lack thereof: individual and social responsibility; how the country loses its future if it does not invest in education and the consequences of the caste system caused by the social background.
-
Community, solidarity, public mood: why don't we stand up for ourselves, choose bad communication solutions, at social level we are more inclined to shrink perhaps, how fear and public speaking terrorize society, and how the media, celebrity culture, and false role models shape all of this.
The purpose of this evening is not only to ask questions but also to find answers. What can we do on an individual level? How can we help each other? Where should we draw the line between destructive habits and constructive decisions?
Judit Péterfi and Dr. Gábor Zacher's talk invites us to think together, dare to face the uncomfortable truths, and look for ways out for personal and shared survival.
This evening is not just a talk, but a mirror, which we all need to look into.
